Convenient and Safe Medication Solutions for Facilities
At Home Meds Pharmacy & Wellness provides multiple packaging options that support the needs of long-term care facilities, residents, and compliance requirements.
Our goal is to deliver efficient and organized medication systems for individuals in long-term care settings such as nursing homes, assisted living facilities, rehabilitation centers, group homes, and senior living communities. These solutions simplify medication management, enhance safety, and reduce errors.
Packaging Options Available
Strip Packaging (Unit-Dose and Multi-Dose)
Our strip packaging, also called PASS (Patient Adherence Strip System), organizes medications by date, time, and dosage. It accommodates single or multiple medications per packet and includes 2D barcodes for scanning accuracy. Each packet clearly displays patient details and dosage instructions, helping staff administer medications quickly and safely. When paired with electronic MAR systems, this option ensures accuracy and compliance.
Blister Packs (Bubble Packaging)
Blister packs, commonly known as bingo cards or bubble packs, remain one of the most used packaging systems in long-term care. Each blister contains one dose, and cards are available in 30- or 60-count options. Labels include the patient’s name, prescription details, and barcode for scanning. Color-coded options help distinguish Morning, Noon, Evening, Bedtime, and “Other” doses, making it easier to avoid missed or incorrect doses. This system is tamper-resistant and helps caregivers track medication administration efficiently.
Additional Packaging Solutions
Color-Coded 31-Day Blister Cards
These blister cards organize an entire month’s medication in a single, easy-to-use format. Each card is color-coded by time of day—Morning, Noon, Evening, Bedtime, or Other—allowing caregivers to quickly identify the correct dose. Cards include patient information, prescription instructions, and barcodes for Med-Pass scanning.
7- and 14-Day Blister Cards
Shorter duration blister cards designed for weekly or bi-weekly medication schedules. These cards offer the same safety and organizational benefits as 31-day cards, with clear labeling for each dose, patient details, and barcode scanning for accuracy.
31-Day Multipack Blister Cards
Ideal for residents taking multiple medications at once, these cards combine several prescriptions into a single, color-coded blister system. Each dose is individually sealed, labeled with patient information, and compatible with barcode scanning to reduce administration errors.
Pouch Strip Packaging (Single or Multi-Dose)
This system organizes medications into strips or pouches for single or multiple doses. Each pouch includes patient details, medication name, dosage, and administration time, making it easier for caregivers to manage complex medication schedules while ensuring compliance and safety.
Lot and Expiration Dates Printed on All Packs
All packaging includes printed lot numbers and expiration dates in accordance with federal and state regulations, helping facilities maintain proper records and ensure medication safety.
Medicine-On-Time®
A multi-dose calendar card system that organizes medications by time of day. Each disposable cup contains all of a resident’s prescribed doses for a specific time—morning, noon, evening, or bedtime. Cups are color-coded and labeled with patient information, medication type, and dosage instructions, simplifying administration and improving accuracy.
Dispill® Packaging
A color-coded, multi-dose system designed for easier medication management. Each compartment is labeled with the patient’s information, date, and time of administration to eliminate confusion and reduce errors.
About Bubble Packaged Medications
Blister packs, commonly referred to as bingo cards or bubble packs, are the most widely used medication packaging system in long-term care facilities. Each blister contains a single dose of medication, and cards are available in 30- or 60-count formats depending on the resident’s dosage schedule. Every card includes the resident’s name, prescription instructions, and a barcode for Med-Pass scanning to ensure accurate administration.
This packaging system helps staff easily track which medications have been given, reducing errors and improving resident safety. Facilities can choose between white or color-coded cards based on preference. Color-coded cards are divided into Morning, Noon, Evening, Bedtime, and “Other,” making it simple to organize daily medications without risk of confusion or missed doses.
At Home Meds Pharmacy & Wellness’s bubble packaging is tamper-proof and spill-resistant, offering added safety and convenience. This system is especially suitable for long-term care residents and individuals with frequently changing medication schedules.
